iPhone Connection Problem

Mine just worked. It should sync up alright, it did take a while initially though if I remember.

Go to Settings, General, Bluetooth and then select the device should be "BMW XXXXX" with the X's being the car ID. To the right if this you will see where it says connected and there is a blue arrow. Tap this and you get to the settings for the device. From here check that "Sync Contacts" is turned on.

did you ever get to the bottom of this mines does the same and would love to find out how to scroll back to i can see who's calling me as its just the last 2 or 3 letters of there name plus mobile?
My bluetooth paired perfectly and the phonebook came across perfectly. Displays caller's names perfectly and I think you can even read SMS texts. Just one small problem with it really - it's utter $h1te at telephone calls. Virtually unuseable unless your stationary with the engine off. Otherwise the person at the other end can hardly hear me.
Now I know a few of you will pitch in now and say 'well mine works great' but the standard early OEM set up with the mic on the roof is well known to be pants hence the design change with mic on the steering column.

Yeh my call is fine unless on the motorway with the roof down then forget it. i have the buisness stereo and when i make the call i can scroll throgh my phone book without any issues, only incoming calls it jumps right to the end of there name and displays that
