My '05 Z4 works flawlessly with my iphone via bluetooth. Instant phonebook transfer, etc....

Only complaint I have is the lack of call quality with the top down, but I guess that's to be expected.
 
I believe mine's a 07/2003 car ... I'd be delighted if hands-free worked, but would settle for headset.

I'm not too worried if the phonebook doesn't work, just as long as it pairs and I can answer calls.

Pity you can't play the music via Bluetooth though. I tried this yesterday with my SonyEricsson W880i and it didn't work :(
