Can get music to play through Bt and usb connector in centre console working fine however cant get text messages or email to show
anyone else had luck in getting those to work with idrive.
 
I have an iPhone 5 and dont think the office functions work properly. It does show text messages....but only if they are received when in the car, and it doesn't show existing texts.

Emails on the phone don't show on idrive either. I think you can set up something on the connected drive website to redirect email or something, but never looked into it.

Dont know if IOS 7 will help perhaps, but I don't think these things are listed as being supported on the iPhone.
 
Thanks kev much appreciated hopefully bmw need to get it sorted for a top phone which is supposed to have intergration which they are built around. :cry:
 
I have emails and texts working through idrive with my Blackberry, but never managed to get it working with my iPhone. Would be interested to see this working as it looks like my company phone is being changed from Blackberry to iPhone in the new year.
