iPhone 5

imo i dont think it will big a big deal, thinner, taller, faster, same old really.

What does excite me more are the new lineup of window 8 phone nokia is unveiling next week.

I have a 4 and the 5 will need to have features that I need/want or I won't upgrade and if I do upgrade I will wait to see reviews of how well it is working. US release date is now being reported to be Sept 21 but I suspect we won't know for sure until the official announcement which Apple has scheduled for Sept 12.

99% certain to be instant pre-order for delivery on the 21st. What isn't certain is if the UK will be part of that first release or not. Problem for me will be getting hold of (or modding) a nano-SIM. My provider is very unlikely to have nano SIM cards available in time for the 21st.
 
been following the rumors for the last few months and the only changes seem to be

bigger 4 inch screen
new chip
4g capability. (useless at the minute)
new socket
taller and thinner case.

doesnt look like they are installing a mobile payment chip which sucks

some of the competition have made better strides with wireless charging etc and for a much better price. the only thing apple seem to have going for them is the reputation.

I hope not :oops: I also hope that it still has problems making a phone call otherwise the USP will be totally lost
 
here is the new battery. its bigger than the 4 and has a different output. with the bigger screen and the 4G i would guess no improvement

Hmm, the contract on my dumb phone runs out in one month, I was going to run out and get an iPhone 4s, ... BUT WAIT! For the same price you can get an iPhone 5 and have the latest techno gizmo. What to do? What to do? I don't care if it has a bigger screen, I use my iPad to see bigger, if that aint big enough I use my Macbook Air, or even my giant IMac on my desk that sits right next to a ... Phone and a real camera......Hmmmm ?

Now what to do?

I guess I'll pick the one that fits in my pocket and use it to make phone calls.... go ahead, call me a luddite . :P

or stick it in my car and make phone calls.... at a really high rate of speed. now I'm a speedy Luddite . :P :P
 
Hmmmmm the upgrades almost brings the iPhone up to Samsung Galaxy S3 level.

Shame the S4 is just around the corner to beat it back into the corner :evil:

I've decided that smartphones are evil. Got an invite to a job interview via email a few weeks ago with an attachment titled 'directions for interviewees'. The file wouldn't open on my iPhone 4s and I just assumed it was travel directions so forgot all about it. Turned up for the interview yesterday morning and they point to a computer, asking me to load up my presentation. Presentation? What f*****g presentation?! Apparently that attachment was a huge clinical report that I was supposed to have read and prepared a presentation for.

Yes, my life is a tragic comedy and my iPhone is evil.
