I have an iPhone 4s as a work phone and a Galaxy S4 as a personal one. The 4s is a kids toy in comparison in everyway. Its smaller but fatter. Thicker and heavier, harder to read and navigate. The apps are a pain and itunes is an eye-sore.

I would never buy an Iphone willingly but would recommend them to any non-technical sheep minded people I know who only use ipods.

can you get a cable to work in the s4 (or iphone 5 for that matter) that gives you music through your car??
i have an iphone 4 and dont wanna get rid cause i have the y cable and all the functionality through the ipod interface......(dont have idrive by the way)

i know you could play music through the aux port (and potentially charge through the USB...but thats not what i'd want.

I would love to get a Samsung Galaxy S4 but I cannot risk getting a two year contract and to be saddled with a handset that drops the Bluetooth link in the Zed :(

I started a topic about bluetooth problems with htc one - this is probably a problem with android 4.2 os - lets hope it will be resolved with 4.3 version.. but im still trying to find a solution - there is one but you have to have your device unlocked

buy one on ebay, its where I buy all my phones. Mobile phone contracts are for chumps. £6 a month rolling contract for me, 1200 mins, 3000 texts, 1gb net and 3000 virgin to virgin mins..

So much of that is just personal subjective bias though. For non-technical sheep minded people...you mean for people who aren't nerds. Normal people, with a life.

That's the thing with phones - every review of Galaxy S4 versus iPhone 5 suggested both were about equal in most measures and it comes down to your personal preference. Until the 5s came along there wasn't much clear water but most reviews of the 5s put it comfortably ahead, although I'm sure Samsung will react sooner rather than later with an equivalent product.

I prefer smaller phones and screens, stronger build (read thicker and heavier) and I couldn't give two shits about being able to have a gazillion ring tones or customising options because I have my phone on silent and vibrate permanently because i can't stand the bloody things making noises all the time when I get an email, text, phone call etc. Yes, I am turning into an old sod!

I second this.

I was all into customization and linux etc.... however nothing beats an iPhone.

I know linux very well and use it daily yet as a daily phone for the sheer quality and stability, iPhone wins hands down.

The screen is smaller, iOS7 is sometimes crashing for me, but otherwise its still the best choice.

As most phones will do texting, surfing and calling, and most phones are reasonably easy to use, spend the time to set them up (disable features etc) and battery life will be samey... so in this economy go with whatever best cost deal you can get... but as for free :)

however, on the samsung vs apple arguement, I have iph5 (1st edition) upgraded from 3gs, and after the initial cr4p with the new connector, and even ios7, it's a great phone...not too fussed with the 5s.

I tried to go to samsung/sony this year but was repulsed by the cheap feeling made phones, I would liken it to eating all your meals with multi coloured plastic cutlery and paper plates... does the job, might be cool for a bit, but not my cup of tea...

I will probably move to iPhone to cure my BMW connectivity thing - but my android currently allows me to bluetooth files between devices and text without character limitation (with Go sms pro) - can this be done on iPhone without the iCloud thing?

With all the other Apple equipment I have, it just makes it easier to use an iPhone.

Tried a Samsung but did not like it very much.
