iPhone 5 integration

Anyone ever do this? Ideally I'd like to 'dock' into the ashtray and it both charges and talks to my nav with wheel function control.

If you decide to go for it, and want some help, I'd be more than happy to give you a hand. (Because then I can see about doing mine). :D

You're on. Especially as I'm a bit cack handed when it comes to things like this. Although I did once do it with an iphone 4...

Talk to Nav = music you mean?

For that, you would need the Intravee. Then you just need to route the cable to the ashtray for the mount.

Music indeed pvr. Sounds like part 1 of the build is to get myself an Intravee then.

This is my favourite location for mounting for updating the Intravee etc. I use a dedicated iPod for the music element but iPhone (with a interim connector for the iPhone 5 required) would do as well. Just route that on the side of the tunnel (just remove the plastic cover and screw from one side and you can push the cable all the way up with your hand, no problem).

If you have a CD changer the Intravee will sit on top of the wiring loom on the rear bulkhead. I have mine fastened with self adhesive Velcro strips. Likewise happy to help install if timings permit. Don't forget you'll need an alpine KCA-420i to connect the iPod to the Intravee :)

This is looking more and more like the solution - and I do have a CD changer. Thank you gentlemen. Looks like I'll need to order (feel free to amend):

- Intravee II unit
- iPhone 5v charging adapter
- Alpine KCA-420i
- Apple Lightning to 30-pin adapter
- Long AiNet cable
