iPhone 5 30 pin to Lightning adapter

Wegras - what do you mean not unlocked?
Tom - yeah, cheap case asap. Then take time to purchase deluxe one. Looks and feels like it could scratch easily.

i saw a video the other day which said the lightning adaptor only works with digital audio. analogue systems have to use a splitter with the lightning adaptor for charging and a stereo jack for music ??

u guys have it easy though. im in the middle of my new project of preparing my car for NFC, bluetooth 4.0 and wireless charging :dizzy: hardest part is the non existent products for the lumia 920. wish china would pick up the knock off pace

this might be of interst to people

Unlocked means not locked to a carrier ever ....CPW have been selling sim free at same price as Apple selling unlocked
but as soon as a sim is activated the iPhone is then locked to that carrier until they are ready to unlock it at some stage

Unlocked means any approved Apple carrier nano sim will work anywhere in world invaluable if you travel and you can get a local cheap PAYG sim

Not sure what that statements mean
My adapter (Apple ) supports the iP5 and works on everything I have with a 30 pin connector
Including the BMW iPod connector option which connects to the Head unit and plays through the multiplayer setting
I do not have iDrive or Sat nav built in

the statement was aimed at older zeds which didnt have DSP audio as standard. i heard it on another forum who linked me to a video which i cant find in the vastness of youtube and have no idea if its effects integration kits like DICE, intravee, etc

Zed's don't get anything as standard ;) am sure DSP is an option

I have a Gen 7 iPod Nano which has a Lightning connector, you can connect it to the Apple Lightning to Dock connector adapter plus a charge converter and it works perfectly well with the Intravee. No reason why the iPhone 5 should not work in the same way.

Where did you find a 7Gen Nano ?????

would be interested to have anyone confirm if the official adapter or a compatible one will work with the Dension IceLink kit.

Call me cynical though could this be an Apple marketing ploy to hype demand for the iP5

Just an update... got the lightning 30-pin to lightning adapter today, plugged it into me dension cable and it works perfectly. much firmer connection than the old 30-pin too, so much less likely to detach itself while driving. Not cheap but does the job.

Colleague managed to find the last 30-pin to lightening at PC World in Staines though they say they don't know when they'll have new stock in... Still waiting for my knock off from fleayBay... put back to end of Nov delivery now, using Aux-in in the car now & having no head unit / MFSW control is frustrating to say the least! :|
