I'm hoping some experienced Zeders will be able to point me in the right direction.

I've just purchased a 2007 M Roadster. I'm wondering what equipment is best suited to streaming music from my iPhone and using Bluetooth to take and receive calls via the stereo. If something also provides SatNav, all the better but its not essential as i have an App on the iPhone which will do that job. Most of the time I'll have the phone in my pocket as i've found in previous cars that having to dock and undock seems a bit of a faff. :headbang:

You've probably guessed but i don't have built in SatNav - which from my limited knowledge would seem to rule out the Intravee. I'm not gifted with DIY so don't want / not able to do myself. Also conscious the car is wonderfully noisy so guess the solution will have to be pretty powerful (I get that I won't be able to hold too many conversations with the roof down!). I'm happy to spend up to £250 if needed to get the right bit of kit.

Does anyone have a good experience? I've tried searching past threads as I'm sure this must be a common conversation but can't find much with a specific answer that is under 2 years old. Please humour me if I've missed something obvious - still a newbie. :D

I've fitted the Parrot Mki9200 to my wife's A3 and my daughters 1 series and I'm pretty impressed with what it does. The sound won't satisfy the serious audiophile but it's good enough for most people I would think. The Bluetooth for the phone is much better sound quality than the OEM BMW system and if you don't want to plug the phone into the system then it plays music via Bluetooth in impressive quality.

It won't do anything for sat nav but fulfils everything else you're looking for I think. It should cost around £200 fitted if you don't feel up to installing it yourself.

Thanks dgm. I had seen the Parrot but wondered if it would be loud enough in the noisier cabin of a M. From what you say, it'll do the job. Thanks for the advice.

I had the Dice duo for my business cd, it was amazing, so good I just ordered the media bridge with Bluetooth for seem less integration into the zed! Unfortunately because you or I don't have pro nav you still won't be able to use the speech buttons on the multi wheel, but you can still use the track up/down buttons to answer reject etc! This is because the dice products connect via the cd changer! The Dension five is only available for the pro nav system and the Dension BTLight is identical to the Dice media bridge! Hope this helps!
