Im looking at replacing my 6s+ 128Gb with an 11 - has anyone made the move to the new one and with what results? (good or bad)

Not gone 6 to 11, but went 7 to 10. Good upgrade, some nice new features, battery life a big improvement. Still makes calls and sends texts, so that’s a plus :D

Battery life would be a help - even with a newish battery and light use I’m lucky to get a full day!

Currently looking at changing my phone as well Ron, just don't know what to get as the choice is bewildering. I think it depends on what you intend to use it for and obviously budget.

I've currently got a Hauwei Mate 9 Pro and it's been a superb phone. I would have another in a heartbeat and interested in a Mate 30 pro when it gets released. Only sticking point is there will be no Google services preinstalled on the phone due to issues between USA and China which may put the kybosh on having one.

Been looking at the iPhone 11 pro but then looking at the new Samsung note 10 it's a tricky choice. I moved away from Apple some years ago but thinking of having another, just not sure they live up to the hype these days compared to what else is out there.

Tim.

I’m sticking to iPhone!

I’m all appled up at home with a Mac and iPad so it’s an integrated system that works - I wouldn’t want to get extra facilities at the expense of loosing some of that integration.

I can see your point Ron. Would be interested too to hear any thoughts on the new iPhone

I’m told battery life is much improved - I did look at one in store and was mightily impressed with the camera.
The screen is Oled and the definition is tremendous!

I've left iPhone after years and got the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and I am very happy with it.

I went the other way!
After connection problems with my old Galaxy an a previous E89 - when I was looking to replace our phones, Samsung would give no guarantees that their product would work in my car - the service manager at the Dealers suggested Apple - that’s how my migration started!

I'm in the same boat, battery on my 6s+ seems to be getting worse by the day! Wondering if the 11 is worth the change over the 10. If you make the leap let us know

I've an iPhone 6s. Earlier this year the battery health was down to 81%. I had a new battery fitted (£22 by a guy in the local market)
The battery health now shows 100% and I easily get a full day. Normally 40-50% charge left by late evening

There's some decent videos on YouTube that show settings/functions that can be turned off to save battery life.
This is the one I found useful

Did no one with a 6s take advantage of the Apple offer for a battery replacement for £49?

I did get a concession price battery replacement - I think it was £30 ish tho ?

[ref]ronk[/ref], I also have a 6s and am trying to make the same decision as you. What are your thoughts on the XR? https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-xr

I am trying to figure out whether the 11 is worth the extra on top of the XR or not. There's not a lot to choose with regard to specs (camera and processor get a bit of a bump, for example):

I am sticking with the idea of an 11 - Im not a regular phone changer/upgrader so i think if I buy the latest model it will last me longer !

Hi all,
I’ve just got the 11 pro max. Had the X before so only a few features differ. The Camera is far better! And Phone seems a lot quicker going into apps. Face recognition is a lot quicker.
