Had 5 iPads over the years and never dropped one, ever, but I did today, getting stuff out of the boot!!! Tried 5 stores for a Genius appointment, and driven into Covent Garden for a 9.30pm appointment this evening, and waiting to be seen They replace the iPad for £249. Not bad I suppose, but a crap start to the weekend!!

Unlucky. I have a perspex case and smart cover on mine... But dread to think would would happen if it fell and the corner catches the ground.
I got mine from the states too; much cheaper and unlike my macbook air no nonsense with the american keyboard!

iPad can't replace a laptop mate.....they're just a very convenient toy that actually serve a purpose but you still need a laptop to run one.
With iCloud you can run one independently now can't you?
Don't need a computer anymore to run one, it's all backed up to the cloud. Soon as got the new one last night it backed up in 5 mins, every setting exactly the same. Emails, wallpapers, Internet, music, movies, photographs, applications etc.
You either love them or you don't.
I use it every day and don't know what I would do without one now.
Aquazi, it just caught the corner, in a case, when it fell, and cracked the glass screen.
But happy I've got a new one now....
