Looks like i'm ditching my six year old laptop and going to get the Ipad 3 i've been looking about for a cover for it but came across the Logitech Ultra Thin keyboard.

It's not exactly cheap but it does look rather nice so i was wondering what peoples thoughts are on these type of covers with the intergrated keyboard are they any good or a waste of money or is there a good cheaper alternative.

Sorry can't offer any advice - all I can say is i got my iPad a year ago and absolutely love it. I have a leather cover and use the touchscreen keyboard. Laptop now practically redundant but not quite!

Everyone i've spoke to raves about the Ipad.i like the portability of it and the ease of use have an ipod touch so just a bigger version of that.

So is the touchscreen keyboard user friendly or would a BT keyboard enhance the ipad :?

If I had an ipad, I think I might be tempted to buy this too...but I don't so I'm of little use!

I have this... £89 duty free.

Has two positions... Full keyboard, and just the front keys.

Solar powered too.

No compaints... Doubles the thickness of the ipad, but its not exactly thick!

If you plan to type a lot on it then def get one

I've never thought about an add-on keyboard and I'm really happy using the touchscreen. Sat here now, legs up on sofa with iPad balanced on leg - real easy to use. Perhaps you could get the iPad and try touchscreen first and if it's not for you then buy the add-on. Go buy an iPad

I have the apple keyboard which I use when doing a lot of typing, for day to day web use I find the iPad on its own fine. That's after two years if owning one
