Hi, I recently installed TouchBB, a forum app For the iPad. The app itself is excellent as it allows you to browse through the forum rapidly however it does not seem to support notifications...

If I post a thread using a web browser I receive an email if someone replies to the thread however I have no way of knowing if a reply has been posted if I use TouchBB

Can anyone recommend a app that does support notifications, thanks n advance...
 
I have both TouchBB and Tapatalk. I tend to use Tapatalk as some of the forum'ites used it. I did a quick surf around and found this note relating to TouchBB v2 - "* Added push notifications for MessageForums.net users". So perhaps it is only MessageForums.net that works with push? I am sure some of the clever Techies on the forum can explain further.
 
Yeah... i am not even looking for Push Notifications... i just want to receive an email if someone replies to my post...

Email notification is a forum setting so i find it strange that the TouchBB bypasses this...
 
Okay I get it. I have replied to forum msgs via TapaTalk and pretty sure when someone replied I did get the email msg. You could always download TapaTalk lite ie. Free and then see if it works any better. At least you won't waste money by trying their free version.
 
I use Tapatalk.... but can't get email notifications on replies

Anyone know how to do this? Must be in settings somewhere?
