Hmm, a bit two steps forward one step back, different = fresher, but not necessarily better.
Would like to be able to change the colour settings for the basic apps such as txt mssging, maybe time to jailbreak/hack !
 
I like my wife's mini... But I have had a few problems with my wifi dropping out as well Jonny. Just disappears 4 bars to nada and I've not moved anywhere :?
 
Agree with the 5c upgrade, they are just simply chasing market share by doing a cheaper product... But thats what you do when you no longer have the best product!

I have a 1st gen iph5, don't think my next phone will be an iPhone :(
 
I saw an article on LinkedIn the other day that had tested all the current smartphones and they reported the 5s to be more than twice as fast as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and almost twice as fast as the previous iPhone 5.

Well i had a play with the 5s today... Glad they got rid of the black one as the black on my 5 had a few marks and its been cased as soon as i got it.

The finger print but is clever, but not worth an upgrade... But the camera in low light is outstanding.

Imo if i could get any phone i would go htc one... But the camera and build of the 5 is a million times better then the Galaxy S4.

I would agree that the build quality and tactility of the iph (glass & metal) is still the best, one of the main reasons why I didn't move to sony/Ericsson last year
 
Has anyone noticed their 5 is faster with the new download? mine seems super fast now compared to my HTC One I'm using along side. The HTC uses a quad core snapdragon processor but seems slower now.

I don't like the look of ios7 but its definitely an improvement with the shortcuts etc and do like the swiping of webpages which is much better, I'm starting to like it more again over my HTC One hmmmmmm. Having used the HTC alongside the 5, I love the larger screen over the iphone 5 but I would say the Apple platform is much slicker, I'm finding with the HTC when viewing web pages and pinch zooming the pager stutters, on the Apple I can zoom in and out and the operation is alot smoother. The camera on the iphone is so much better as well, quality of the pics I've taken on the HTC have been dissapointing against the Apple.

I feel If Apple had brought out an iphone alongside the 5 but a HTC One sized version with stereo speakers it would have made a killing I reckon. Falling in love with my 5 again if only the screen was like the HTC it would be perfect for me. The HTC stereo speakers (Boomsound) are fab for watching videos etc. The 5 is still lacking :(

On the plus side yesterday my iPhone 5 got a good test for battery preformance and there is a marked improvement. Also downloads do seem much quicker especially over wifi... :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Quite agree, it would have been nice if there was a option for ios6 "classic" theme, similar to how you get old style windows for the new windows OSs
 
Anyone have issue after the upgrade when viewing photos? As I swipe left and right the photos slide in and then jump up. It's really annoying!

Just checked and the anwser is no! Assuming iPhone not iPad?
 
Bugger. Yeah phone. I may need to do a backup and restore then.

I've taken loads of photos over the weekend and when just swiping left and right thru them they jump up each time a picture slides in, meaning I see only the bottom 7/8 of the pic.

It's fine in portrait but in landscape it's jumping around...

No issues with swipeing through my pics on my ipad 3 but I get that problem when trying to reset my wallpaper and it also freezes so I have to do a hard reset :?

Same with my Mini, drops wifi all the bloomin time :thumbsdown:
 
On my 5 when viewing pics they slide across OK on portrait and landscape but when on landscape it crops the pics along the top and bottom so when looking at pics of my girlfiend her head and legs are missing :cry:
