I booked Inty in at Munich Legends to be 'health checked' yesterday... I compiled a rather meticulous list for the chaps to go through as there were several issues I needed addressed. As you can imagine I was awaiting the day on tender hooks as with these purchases, you're never quite sure what you're in for! I knew the brakes needed serious attention as to be quite honest, they are f&cked. However, apart from needing a few things re-secured (refitted off side front shock cover, undertray & heatshield and tank vent valve to inlet manifold) and some other small things that can be addressed over time I was absolutely delighted to hear that Inty received a clean bill of health and was remarked on being a 'very clean car'. She was also suffering from wheel rubbing... Not along the top arches as you might think, but the front bumper! Initially I thought the alignment was too 'toe out', or 'duck footed' as I like to term it but it turns out she has had the bumper off at some point and it was poorly re-fitted! What a relief! Inty now has her original grills put back in and a correctly fitted bumper which equates to loads of free wheel space
Turned out I picked a rather delightful day to venture down to ML... The sun did end up making an appearance but they had just taken delivery of several beautiful 'M' delights. E28 M5's (two thereof), 2 E46 M3 CSL's (yes, two again), they currently have 3 M1's down there (and I do mean the 'wedge'), a 2002, a stunning E30 325 cab, an E30 M3 and to top it off... a Ruby Black Z4 M coupe which has done 24K. Now, did I once mention that's what I was looking for?
Yes, that's right, luck would have it that the day after I collected Inty, a chap called in wishing to sell his Ruby MC. Of course this would happen! Initially I was in a slight state of turmoil as at this point I knew Inty had issues and wondered if there were more I was yet to discover... So, I took the Ruby out for a drive yesterday and it was equally a lovely car, pristine condition with no quirks (must say, the M does ride better on 18's). However I am sticking with my Inty and was pleased it was a clear decision for me once stood with the vehicles in the flesh.
As always I was delighted by ML's service and I shall be back down there next Friday for the discs and pads to be addressed as-well as have Parrot Bluetooth fitted. Can't wait to feel her once she's 'all new'
