Hi, Just joined the forum as looking to purchase a Z4 2.5si or 3.0si within the next month or so. Thought this would be the best place to learn some more and maybe find a good example without paying dealer mark-up.

Are you thinking of roadster or coupe?
Either the 2.5 or 3.0 SI are very capable, rewarding machines. You'll know when you find the right one.

Thanks guys. Just put a message in the buy/sell section. I'm after a Roadster Wyldie85, but might be tempted by a Coupe if the right one came along.

Two cars in one... The 3.0 roadster is the way to go IMO.

Cheers everyone. Thanks for the welcome and snippets of info. I agree – 3.0 is the way forward, and even my insurance agrees :D
 
Be patient to find the right Zed - they are all capable.

Running costs similar between the 2.5 and 3.0
