Introduction with a couple of pics

Hi all, after asking for advice on these forums RE passenger airbags a few weeks back (still looking for viable options btw  ) I thought I should introduce myself and my car. As you can see it is a Sterling Grey 3.0 litre with a few extras and 40k on the clock. Had a Peugeot/Citroen stubby purchased from Ebay sitting waiting ready to be fitted as part of my true initiation into the ranks. I also plucked up courage (normally being completely cack-handed with applying my hands to practical tasks) and perfomed the second most important mod (imo) which was removing a single piece of foam from the sound generator tube..with great results I might add :D

Anyway, plz see pics below and thanks to all who have responded to my previous thread.

Looks nice and clean and straight, stubby doesn't fit as well as the mango walk one though by the looks.

Welcome - Very nice and exactly the same model colour, trim and wheels I had - before I changed almost every part of the car

Thanks all for the welcome and kind comments. I am keeping my fingers crossed for at least a few bright Autumn days before Winter kicks in. As my car will be kept on the drive I was thinking of purchasing a 'tarpaulin' to help protect the soft top in the really bad weather. Does anyone have any experience of these? Possible makes to go for, I believe BMW sell/sold one but finding details is proving harder than I first thought.

Also, if I have no luck with the possibility of retro fitting a passenger airbag switch what are your thoughts on having the airbags deactivated so that I am able to, on occasion, take my children out in the car. Thanks again all for the comments, keep em comin' :)

Hey - welcome to the forum.

I have just ordered the tarpaulin from BMW. Part number 82 15 0 151 568 if that's any good to you. Will let you know what it's like when it turns up.

Thanks Gaza62, and thanks J4YMO any feedback you have on the tarp' would be appreciated. Could you also let me know what you paid for it if that's ok? Cheers
