Intravee II

Took the bottom tray out, drilled 3 holes in them to feed the cable through.

I would have done the same but didn't have the bottom tray so all mine's hidden behind with velcro.

I'm trying to remember how I did my Z4. I think I followed a guide on the Dice Youtube channel.

You remove the cubby hole/sub from behind the drivers seat and feed it though there, then tuck it under the plastic and under the centre console and brought it out by the passenger footwell to a Brodit mount

Here, I used this guide: http://youtu.be/EHIfb0CW7cE

Works really well. I haven't bought my Intravee yet, so I don't know how it connects in, but I guess you could keep it in the back behind the carpet, or under the ashtray if the cable is long enough.

I know i'm behind times here, but being xmas and bored i finally updated my intravee.

Thanks to mac and srhutch for the software. (Lost the drivers for my usb to serial adaptor so took forever to get it to work!)

Love the extra features:
the nav zoom( set mine to 25mph increments)
the doors auto unlock (mine use to autolock only)
The distance reading from the rear pdc on the nav screen pop up when reverse is engaged.

Things which dont work...
Angel eyes as drl
Electric mirror folding.

But well worth the update.

PVR has been trying to get Folding mirrors working for a long time.

Regarding the DRL's I got NavCoder which I'm hoping to try soon as I had no joy with it on the Intravee either.

I updated the firmware on my intravee this weekend using this guide on the 5 series forum

http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/75485-the-intravee-thread-contains-user-guides-and-latest-firmware-for-download/

If you like gadgets and tinkering about this is a great upgrade.

Sad to hear that Simon Allen designer of Intravee and owner of Intravention has passed away.

If anyone has the latest software and could email me it I'd be very grateful.

TIA

Jimbo, if you follow the link on MrBodgers post, it will take you to links to firmware, update software etc

Cheers for that Stuart.....I presume that the software isn't car specific then as I think the link is for the 5 series?

You select the car model from the settings menu, in our case sect E46 II though.

In the firmware version I installed there was a Z4 option.

The last email I had from them was that they were going to add a Z4 to the menu...

Must have been one of the very last versions then as mine hasn't got it. Another job to do.

Yes I have last version which includes e46 /z4 but some bits don't work ie folding wing mirrors as the z4 needs a separate module to do this. Also angel eyes don't work on z4.
