Intravee II

If you can fit it ...

I placed the Alpine unit flat against the side where either the cubby hole is behind the speaker or the sub woofer. The Intravee is in the place where the CD changer would be.

It's definitely not what they had in the 3 series. I doubt BMW will want to install this. If you're not confident doing it yourself (it is piss easy) then you're better off going to a car audio place.

I might be able to help with fitting if I'm around your way on business over the next few weeks - might be able to do it one evening? Shouldn't take long.

It's probably worth getting hold of a serial/USB adaptor and installing that with the Intravee hidden away. Then you can leave the just a USB plug tucked away for when you want to flash the software, all other parts remain hidden, only the iPod in the cabin.

Rest assured i won't be buying the ebay one :D

Damn if the coupe is easier to fit then the roadster even I could help you fit it as I live in derby.... Sometimes!

Once you get it let me know if you want a hand

Looks good.
Received my Intravee II yesterday. Looking forward to installing it during the weekend.

I have a problem unless this is normal :(
When i start the car i get no sounds from the stereo after pressing the volume and mode button i eventually get the music but no ipod it refuses to play.
ipod shows on screen but no track or album.
If i remove the lead and re attach it it works this can't be right can it ?

It's down to the iPod going to sleep. You can stop it from doing so by adding calendar reminders every few hours repeatedly.

Thanks as always :)

I have a repeat calendar on my 1st gen nano in the boot.... Lasts about 2 weeks before the battery dies and I need to remove it from the car to charge it and then plug it back in!
