Intravee II & Alpine KCA-420i - SOLD

Hi guys

I have an Intravee II & Alpine KCA-420i unit up for sale.

Comes with both the necessary leads to connect it to the car and the Ipod.

Both items are in good condition. Intravee II was purchased new in March 2013 & Alpine KCA-420i was purchased 2nd hand but unused at the same time.

I am looking for £175 + p&p,

I know they're good with a 4S. Not sure if anyone's used a 5 or 5c/s with an adapter.

Mine works with my 5s with the apple adapter, an ebay one didnt work.

But i tend to use an old 3rd gen nano with it so i dont need to use both the 5v adapter and the lightning adapter which really bulks up the wire (those 2 combined are bigger then the nano itself!)

+1 here for my 5 (non S) - i had to use the OEM apple adaptor in order to transmit data along the cable

You don't think Alpine will produce one? If not so be it - I already have (admittedly fairly rubbish) connectivity for the old style iPod adaptor so will manage with that.

Alpine ceased production of the KCA-420i ages ago, all the manufacturers simply include connectivity into their head units now.

It would be fantastic if the Intravee folks pulled together to make a direct connection unit with better functionality than the Alpine unit but the founder has sadly passed away and I bet there are a ton of IP licensing issues around developing for Apple hardware.
