intravee firmware 6.02

Hi,

Have been unable to register with intarvention as the registration is closed currently, looking for the latest firmware if anyone has a copy they can email and any instructions / advice on what to do would be ideal.

Obviously not strictly an M topic, but lots of you guys have them so thought a good place to start.

What's different in the latest firmware?

Various bug fixes, most changes do not work on z4 like auto fold mirrors on locking/unlock and locking doors. PDC engaged now shows distance on nav screen for each sensor, engine parameters can also be displayed on nav screen and it keeps a log of last journeys. Useful for servicing, max revs, speed etc. Am sure there are many more, instruction manual is now huge!!

Navigation and search of long list is now far easier, although I can't remember what it was like before. Just remember thinking how much easier it is.

PDC display is useful, and service info.

It's not bug free though. There are a few scenarios it gets a bit confused, like when you're on the ipod and you get a traffic interupt - if you cancel it the display doesn't return with all the info. If you let it play out it's fine, it just appears to be the manual interupt. But thats about it.

6.02 is still a beta version isn't it? Or has a formal release happened?

iPod adaptor that hooks pretty well into nav screen and has extra features. Couple of hours to install and costs around £200 second hand with kca420 alpine adapter.

Yes have nav and the pro7.
I can get it to work,but it seems a bit of a faff to navigate about the different screens.To be honest the instruction manual i downloaded
didnt help much either.Got any tips or hints ?.

its not fantastically slick but it has lots of stuff and therefore menus - what cant you do?

When pressing the right satnav button long-ish, you get the "now playing" menu. From there, you can browse for example by Artist, Album etc just like you can with the iPod.

Make sure you have the extended menus selected in the setup screen, otherwise you are missing a lot of functions (specific to the MKIV satnav systems).

Is anyone else finding 6.02 incredibly unstable? Mine probably only boots successfully 50% of the time (the rest of the time I just can't switch to it from the mode button :headbang: ) and I keep seeing ibus underrun errors.

I'm using build 4810 and have emailed Intravention to see if they are seeing a lot of errors with this version so we'll see.

Yes me too - loads of fatals and reboots, trying a revised firmware after sending a log file but still happening with this build, will be emailing again.

Mine has been absolutely fine here on that version. A little flickery on the UI when changing tracks but fine otherwise. You can downgrade if you're having too many issues.

I just had this email from them this morning actually:

We've had a log from another Z4 user that exhibits the problem that you
are having. This shows that on shutdown the radio module is sending a lot
of requests for the Intravee to 'Stop'. The particular radio in the Z4
sends these messages so close together that the Intravee is continually
waiting for a gap in which to send the response.

Could you please try V6.02-4909 attached and see if this fixes the
problem, please keep an eye on the Setup -> Diagnostics -> Status menu for
the value of Fatal and Recovery counters.

Perhaps that was you they were referring to. Anyway I've sent them my latest fatal log and installed build 4909 now which they may have sent to you also? If not PM me your email address if you want me to send it on over

Yeah true but I'd rather stick with the extra features if possible. I wonder what's different about each setup that means you're not having the same problems.
