Intravee Extras

Having fitted my Intravee and iPod last week I have set some of the extras and they don't seem to be working.

So far I've set wing mirrors to open and close on unlock and lock and no joy although I understand this is likely with the Z4,

I've set auto lock and auto unlock on engine off and no joy there either.

Can anyone confirm what they have managed to set with their Intravee. Everything I've set on SWMBO's X5 seems to work just fine.

You can set zoom on nav, triple blink indiator,
 
Correct on the mirrors - but the auto lock/unlock should work - unless there is a compatability issue with pre versus post face lift

auto lock/unlock worked on both my post facelift Zeds
 
I got my car coded to autolock... Never asked them to auto unlock :headbang:

With the intravee i have got it to auto unlock now when the ignition goes off!

No more people struggling to get out :thumbsup:

Auto lock / unlock works with facelift Zed's as I enabled it with intravee and it didn't work previously. Auto folding mirrors is a non starter as the message is not sent via canbus. Do not attempt the module that is advertised on Internet for this function as it does not work on Z's despite what it advertises!!
 
Auto unlock worked fine with #69 (lock was coded into the car anyway) and all Alpinas are pre facelift

I'd check you've got the latest firmware and/or the correct car model set up. If you're running older firmware (no z4 in the list) select E46 mkii

I'd say that, if you're running older firmware, and don't see z4 in the car list, your first step should be to upgrade to the latest firmware

Alpina don't modify the 'standard' BMW electronics modules so AutoLock/Unlock should work with all pre-facelift E85s

Definitely the latest firmware as it's just been done by Richard P. I'll change the car model to see if that makes a difference. I believe there were 2 options for the Z4 so I'll just switch to the other.

I've got auto lock/unlock to work on my face lift, perhaps they fixed with a firmware update. Must update again though, mine must be 12 months old.
 
Just changed the car from E46/Z4 to E46 1 and I now have auto lock/unlock, PDC info and I can use the Intravee extras to get into the Bluetooth menu.

I did try the mirrors again but no joy so that one is not going to play ball.

Also had a good look around the service info and how many oil and inspection services it's had. Thankfully it concurs with the service history.

Excellent piece of kit this Intravee II.
 
So, from locking/unlocking point of view, pre face lift Z4 is like E46 Type I and face lift Z4 is like E46 Type 2, interesting but not surprising!
 
Hi, so to access all these features or enable them, i need to plug in a laptop?

Orders cables and such so waiting for them to arrive, along with the CD changer extension cable as my mine are stupidly short and tie to the inner bulkhead
 
Once you have the latest firmware (V6.02) you can enable them from the Intravee menus, to update the firmware you need a PC.

I've read quite a bit on this over the last couple of days and somwhere it stated that E46/1 is pre facelift and some early facelift using the same comms sytem. E46/2 is for the majority of facelift cars.
