Intravee & charging iPhone

I finally got around to installing my Intravee in my Z4MC, but it doesn't charge my iPhone4 when plugged in, however when I plug in my old iPod it charges that.

Does anyone know if it should be charging my iPhone4, if so any ideas on how I can get it to work?

Thats because the charging volts between iPODs and Phones are different. Apologies for the thread resurrection(!) - would anyone be able to confirm that this is the same bit of kit I need to get my 5th generation iPod Nano (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipod_nano#5th_generation) to charge from the Alpine unit?

I think he might have a coupe, could be wrong though.
