Intravee & Alpine unit (not mine) - and some other random

heatshrink, hot air gun, crimping tool, gas soldering iron, silver solder - although I can bring all that if I make it

As far as connecting to the 12v line goes, I dislike the normal ScotchLok connectors (the 3-wire jelly type aren't bad though as they go at the ends of the wires)

So I would cut the line and
- solder + heatshrink
- crimped butt splice (the usb power supply lines are thin and can be inserted into the butt splice) + heatshrink

If you don't want to cut the line then solder + self amalgamating tape

Did you not read my post, I said they were not scotchloks :poke:

Apparently yes, sealed and in a cool - but not freezing - dry place. PVR uses a dog food container - I just want to see what it looks like.

Bugger, better have a look myself as well then, although have nowhere cool come summertime

Of course not, this is the Internet, you can't expect people to read all the way to the end of long posts :poke:

By the way, viewings all rearranged so, barring horribly inclement weather, I shall be attending the PVR house party

I've posted the details on all the social media outlets so we should have loads turning up for the rave in Paul's garage

Glad you are able to make it Perry, someone else to shame my woeful lack of skills.

I blame my father being unable to teach me anything - witnessed a chisel being used as a screwdriver growing up!

Weird, as my grandfather was great at all sorts of DIY.

Looking forward to meeting up, some great banter, great food & hopefully no left over screws from my car

I just re-set mine and I back at 60meg

Paul mentioned he has some 'Dutch freedom' left over from his last rave - I'll bring some white gloves and a box of glow sticks. I have some whistles someplace too 8)

I'll bring some BSD if anyone wants to try some, my dealer set me up with 5l so I've gotta parcel it out... It's a great effect at full strength but I've been cutting it with c2v3 for a smoother hit..... 8)

Is BSD as good as the reviews suggest?

Almost sounds perfect, and therefore too good to be true?
It is very good - lasts for ages and repels water like a ducks chuff, but it can be a bit 'grabby' during application and doesn't leave the slickest finish. C2v3 on the other hand is not quite as good as far as water-beading goes but leaves a very slick & glossy finish.

I've been mixing the two along with distilled water to try to find the best balance to use as a QD with the water-beading behaviour of BSD and the finish of C2v3

I'll bring some along for people to try for themselves

Interesting to read. I purchased, foolishly a 4L Megs Last Touch several years ago & finally getting down to the last few uses. Great as a wipe down after a wash, but doesn't seem to do more than smell nice - my first foray into QD.

Once I get the right combo of weather & availability to do a machine polish & nano sealant, so far the last few weeks have provided 'rain or baking sun when I'm free' vs 'dry & cool' / 'raining' when I'm not ties up with other stuff. Need a garage with plenty of space!

dash rattle (and a passenger locating the plastic clunk below glovebox)

this I might be able to have some input into :D

Curing, or creating?
probably a bit of both :D fix one rattle and find others that you couldn't hear before... I always found turning the radio up was the best solution :D
