You have to format the card on a PC using one of the (many) FAT32 formatting utilities, the camera will create the correct directory structure and add the viewer software on first use

The registrator viewer is much better than the one that comes with the camera anyway

Cheers, thought it came as FAT32 as standard? Or are you referring to when I reformat it?

Least few years of only using an ipad, I can see a new laptop on the cards soon given mine is pushing 8 years old...
I think a lot of sdxc cards now come formatted with exFAT - mine did - I always like to give them a nice, slow full format as it checks all the sectors at the same time

I formatted it in the unit itself
It's not supposed to be able to format cards over 32GB - as I'd read about that prior to getting the cam, I didn't try, just formatted my 64GB card using a PC

Just seen PVR's post & wishing I'd gone for a 32gb now, as much easier!
I'm sure Paul has a PC and can format it for you - it'll give him an excuse to bugger off indoors while the real work's being done

I even have a stock of adaptors as I am buying the SD cards in bulk now as my new hardware project uses them 8)

(another off-topic-topic :D )

This thread could run & run!

Worth us having a chat on Saturday.

All this talk of dash cams is boring me. Partly because I have no clue what you're all on about, and partly because I feel left out not having one

So for me, I'm after a CDV delete, a wee touch up of my driver seat if Srhutch remembers the dye, and finally (new to my list), I will bring the touch up kit that I got free with my car ( ) and someone can show me how to fill a chip without making a mess.

The rest of the time we'll spend a little time taking mj2k's car apart and lots of time thrashing it along the lanes & round the roundabouts

Is it just the four of us, or is Gannet turning up too ?

Oh, whilst I remember... I am going to see if I can borrow a gopro next month... Did I hear you say that you can do really well-priced quality SD cards Paul ? :D

You can get a 64GB Samsung card for <£20 from Amazon - and, if you get it from them, you won't have to put up with comments about it still belonging to someone else, transferring data too fast while the card's cold or keeping its output contacts clean and there'll be no pressure to setup a hoist to get the card in and out of the camera

But you miss the fact here that Bing will only want to pay a fiver for that card that costs £20 at Amazon :D

He may only want to pay a fiver but you'll want to charge him £19.90 and point out he's lucky to get such a bargain

Not sure I can cope again with this whole thing about us Southerners having to contribute to the Scottish so they can live the highlife

I didn't think the Barnett formula applied to Scots who've emigrated?

We appear to have settled on Saturday...
Bugger, we're viewing properties on Saturday - got to move my mother somewhere flatter than Brighton as her knee is playing up and she's having issues with hills/steps
Things are progressing....

It now looks like we've only got one viewing on Saturday, it's scheduled for 11am but Cindy's going to see if it can be moved to late afternoon - if it can, I'll be along 8)

Well, my Harvey system is up and running now - so if you need to give that underneath a good seeing to
