Intravee/ alpine help needed!

My old ipod nano gen 3 battery finally died last month to the point where it has no power even after leaving it on the charger overnight. So it doesnt work in my car at all

So i thought i would do the kca 420 ipod wake mod to my intravee, as its been on my list for ages.

Well managed to get the thing open only to be dumbfounded by how small it is!

There is noway i have the soldering skills (or a fine tip solder!) to be able to do this!

Anyone done this mod to their alpine kit? Willing to do mine too?

I've just done my second one, bloody small aren't they.

I might be persuaded to do it, need to test mine first though.

I got Richard from the bmw 5 series forum to do it. he charges postage and that's it. i think he pioneered the mod.

Looks harder than it is - I did have to buy a finer tip for my gas soldering iron though
