Help needed!!!!
Have just purchased an Intravee 2 from another forum member but have a question.
The Z came with a BMW ipod interface fitted so do I need to remove this first before
fitting the Intravee, and if so how do I remove it :scratchhead: (srhutch)

Cheers the dogs

Terry, the OEM iPod interface is in the glovebox from memory. Should be a case of removing the interface which connects to the head unit and then plugging the CD changer lead back in. All UK cars came pr wired for CD changer so the lead should be there somewhere.

Have you removed before. If not worth looking up the Petach method of removal.

what's the difference between the oem ipod connector and the intravee?

I do have a working cd changer, but when looking through all the paperwork that came with the car I found a booklet about the oem ipod connector. Does this mean it would have been fitted at some point or did BMW supply the booklet with all cars?

you can't have ipod option and cd changer at the same time
as the ipod option emulates a cd charger
the original ipod has very poor functionalities
6 playlists you have to call bmw1,bmw2.. to match disk 1, disk 2...
otherwise you have a full list of your titles and have to move up - down to find the one you want to listen => nightmare

about intravee do a search on the forum there are lot of subjects related

Thanks for the update. Wonder if you make it as long as me with having the second first aid kit on a desk for about 8 months
