As promised a while ago, here are the pics from my trip up to the Canadian Rockies last October. Not only did I have fun with the drive, the company I was with, and the trip in general, the beautiful scenery has apparently won me a couple of competitions too :crazydude: Enjoy!

:happyclap: Absolutely beautiful :happyclap:

I couldn't take a trip there with my wife - I would be stopping to take more pictures every 10 feet or so and she would be bored to tears. Happily she often lets me escape alone for driving trips with my camera. The Canadian Rockies definitely look like a road trip I would like to take.....

thnx for sharing.

Nice pics Rick!!!
Brings back memories of the times we've cruised the CDN Rockies.
The absolute favorite was when we were out in my old 914/6
Topless in a sportscar in the Rockies------ amazing fun :D

Rick,

Those pics are just awesome. My wife and I spent our honeymoon near Lake Louise and drove the Ice Fields Parkway. What a drive! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys!

I probably snapped about 200 pics during the drive down the Icefields Parkway alone... it's hard not to get every angle of everything around you. What's nice is that there are quite a few pull offs for you to get out and snap away.

I'd definitely do this again, except this time maybe in reverse. I guess the time of year we went was just right - shoulder season. Not a whole lot of traffic to ruin your roadpics. :D

AlanL, Banff is only about 12 hours away from you. I'm sure you can make the trip. :)

Starting to scheme on this one. Fall looked nice but I imagine late spring could be interesting as well with deep snowpack in them thar hills...
