Internal rattle on DISA?

Hi guys,

Just wondering how serious an internal rattle on the DISA would be? Heard some horror stories where bits went into the engine but I'd imagine that's absolute worst case scenario isn't it? The unit in question is clean and was given the okay by an ex-BMW mechanic. Am I just being paranoid?
 
Take it out yourself and check it. 20 mins tops and very easy to do.

If you can change a wheel you can do this, that easy.
 
I like to understand my oily bits but wasn't sure what a DISA is. So I did a bit of reading and found this, it's very informative and details some easy preventative maintenance,

I replaced mine with ease some weeks back

If it's rattling it's probably past it's sell by date. It's not worth risking engine annihilation over a DISA replacement
