Internal preventative anti-corrosion measures

I’ve seen a few threads where wiring has corroded (eg radiator fan) & remember I initially had slight corrosion issues on my old E85’s rear light clusters.

So, despite my //M’s life as a garage Queen, has been caught out in the rain...

My plan’s to systematically spray every electrical blocked connection (excluding alternator) & coat susceptible parts

ACF-50 (for underside)
Copper slip (for steel brake pipes)
WD-40/XCP rust blocker for electric connectors
Ceramic coat inside of wheels

Anything I need to be wary of (other than never spray brake discs) or other good advice?

Do not use WD40 on electrical connectors as it will turn copper to dust over time!

Get some silicone grease instead if you plan to treat electrical connector pins etc.

Thanks for all the advice... I do have a lithium grease spray can, though not as penetrating as the other stuff.

Amazed to hear WD40 will rot copper, never heard that before... time for Google

Following a spout of googling... even the WD40 site recommends for copper fountain pen nibs as fish oil based.

I think I’ll stick with the XCP rust blocker, ACF-50 & copperslip... other suggestions most welcome
