Intermittently working cigarette / 12 v outlet

Hello

My 12v power plug works intermittent and is very sensitive to which charger is being used. It normally takes some adjusting of the charger before it will start working. Since it does eventually work I assume the fuse is OK (but I will check). Short of replacing the unit does anyone have any suggestions? I remember reading (maybe on here?) About cleaning the contacts?

I had the same issue. There are two contacts inside which get bent out of shape which is caused by using various chargers etc. They just need to be bent back to their correct position, trouble is it will happen again. Be careful not to use a metal tool as this will cause the fuse to blow or remove fuse first of course.
