intermittent Wiper fault

Since fixing the resting point on my wipers using the guide on the site.

I have found that the sensor wiping function is not working all the time. Some times it comes on and other times it doesn't.

I have replaced the relay which I thought was connected to the fault but this has n't made any difference.

The sensor on the windscreen appears to be fine without any signs of it being broken and its fully attached to the windscreen.

Has anyone experienced this fault?

Any sugestions on what it could be?
