Intermittent orange lights

I’m replacing my rear pads as there worn which may throw up the random errors.
But I’ve heard could be dirty ABS sensor so I decided to remove it.
Could be the issue?

Oh yes. That could easily be the issue.

Worn pads shouldn't throw random errors unless they are down to the wear sensor, at that point the pad wear indicator will come up.

The wheel speed sensor is far more likely to be the culprit, especially if there is ferrous junk built up on it from the brake pads/disc.

Best to apply some anti seize to the bolt and sensor shoulder to aid future removal. They can become rusted in there pretty good! Just avoid getting any on the sensor face/body.

Yes, that's the bolt with a sheared off head and also half a sensor left stuck in situ.

TBF this was on my 20 year old 330. At that age, any job can end up being a ballache.

I feel your pain! I have been there before.
Patience and carefully applied heat from a mapp gas torch might save you having to drill that one out. Weld a nut onto the top of you have a welder.

I need to drill and retap one of the front sensors on my zed.
Luckily the sensor atleast came out in one piece!

That also looks like a front sensor? For some reason they normally seem to be the first to stick.

Actually taking it to the mechanic tomorrow to see if they can sort it. Despite my best efforts with PlusGas, mole grips and a blow torch...no success.

Hope so. Have been driving around for a few weeks with the DSC and ABS light on (so no traction control and no ABS).
