Intermittent misfire + electrical issues

Evening guys
I bought an e85 2.2 04 plate around 6 weeks ago.
I got it quite cheap knowing it had issues.
It’s got an MOT until next March but has issues which I’m in the process of trying to fix.
I bought it as a project or keeping it as a donor car for spares.
One issue I’m having problems with is a misfire.
The car runs great for around a mile and a half then the misfire starts. Turn it off for a minute, start it up again drive it and all good again for a mile and a half then misfire starts again, this happens strangely more or less exactly at the same distance travelled.
Have scanned the car and following codes say
DME firing cylinder 1 code 27CF
DME misfire cylinder 1 code 2742
DME interface EWS 3.3 code 27A4
Spark plugs changed, coil packs swapped round to check, injector replaced, but still misfiring on cylinder 1
I would like to try to fix this before looking at other issues with the car. I’m thinking DME/ECU issue.
I got no history of what has been done to the car in the past.
Would appreciate any advice guys please if that’s ok
Cheers
Dave

The common denominator seems to be the DME. Wonder if something is overheating in it, or it takes that time/distance to do some checks and get upset?

Hopefully someone will come up with an easier fix but the good news is that a DME swap isn’t too bad to code. Now I know how it takes about 20 minutes to swap.
Others can do it that may be closer to you.

Thanks enuff_zed for your reply
I’m thinking on the same lines as you as the other faults may be DME related too, ie
When the car is stopped the central locking doesn’t work initially, leave it 10mins and then it works fine again, and will work again all day long until you drive the car again and then same issue occurs.
Other codes it brings up are 87 state current K BUS.
BE state current. data-filing difference to central light module.
Hopefully it could be just failing DME which may be the issues with other faults
