Intermittent "jerky" roof opening

From time to time when my roof opens some of the movements are rather jerky.
The cycle always completes but i have this fear that at some point it will get stuck halfway.
Closing is always smooth.
I would say this happens during maybe 1 in 10 roof openings.

Any clues as to what is going on?

Possibly a broken wire in the harness where it bends as the roof opens and closes.

Reach up behind your right ear towards roof, you can see wires exposed. Try pushing those see if you can get it to bong and red light near buttons flashing, if so broken wire.
