This problem occurred when I got my E39 525i back from the garage after a year standing in their back yard having engine refurbished ( rebore, new pistons, etc.)
Two warnings illuminate after 10 to 20 minutes of driving; they reset after car parked for few hours.
My little code reader has one code
21 wheel speed signal front left.
I have cleaned all contacts and twice replaced original sensor with genuine items from a similar E39 scrapped a few years ago that was rusty but had no ABS issues.
Exactly same fault.
I have ordered Bosch sensor from C3BMW but suspect another cause, hub, reluctor or ABS module.
Any ideas please?
