Interlagos Purple

I created a thread in the detailing section, but after having the car fully Gtechniq detailed all round, and this is a thread about my paint  Here's my Interlagos Purple as of today:

Edit: not that anyone will really give a toot, but that's not me driving, that's Dave @ DDB Detailing who did the job. The guy is a magician.

the only thing that would finish it - fresh blabpck paint on the calipers and shiny silver caliper clips. But I am being waaaaaay too picky  - it looks amazing

Aye Dave the detailer said he was considering painting the calipers but he ain't a painter, and as they're the OEM ones he decided otherwise, to be fair that wasn't in the scope of the work so I'm not too bothered about that. I had two quite noticeable coin sized dents in the paintwork which he had a specialist remove, dark arts at play as there's now zero trace of them ever being there at all with no respraying or painting done.

Looking super nice ncrossy1980  well done for picking the best colour. I mean one of the best colours.....

god that looks nice with those m3 wheels!!!

Thanks Beedub!

I have ordered some Apex Arc8's to see what the handling difference will be like and also start doing some track days.

I'm not totally sure what I will do with the M3 wheels yet.

Hijack..... Would be really interested to see pic's of the Apex wheels when you get them, as I have been considering them for my 'Purple' coupe as well. Which colour did you go with, as I am looking at the Anthracite Vs Hyper Silver.

Austin - I'm on Ground Control kit... not sure exact heights but definitely a bit lower than standard.

Cheers Jimmy...
Would be a huge coincidence, but you're not a Halifax boy originally are you?!

I see from your signature your from the cloudy north their inlies the problem. I currently run a mk7 golfR ( don't shoot me please can't afford an R and a Z ). The golf is Lapis Blue and I have exactly the same discussion is it purple or is it blue. The biggest influence is the weather/light conditions , in our normal grey cloudy light the car definitely looks purple. However when the sun makes it up here it transforms to a brilliant blue, also under streetlights it goes an even deeper shade of blue.
Best thing is when I am driving it I can't really see its colour just enjoy the experience so purple / blue who cares !!!.

I have a Blue Z4MR and I can honestly say I have never considered that it looks purple
