my initial reaction would be no as well... however with that colour blue it could work. A few years back on this side the pond we had a Renault Clio Williams which was dark blue with gold coloured wheels - worked very well IMHO....

In all reality what is the difference between gold and chrome, grey/silver.
The ones on the Porscha don't really look bad.
I have been thinking of going with black rims on my Interlagos blue roadster.
Only certain cars can pull off the Gold Rims look, IMHO...:
Jeez! you guys have some strong opinions on gold. I agree it is not the easiest color to pull off but if done properly, IMHO it can look nice. Do you guys think this is tacky?

Bimmerbri, of course it's JUST MY OPINION, but yes, these look tacky as well. With all the nice posts on this thread of 'classy' gold wheels, they still look tacky. I don't like gold on anything. Although I will admit that there are better looking ones then others....they are still gold!

I suppose I may be biased as I am a fan of Japanese culture and used to drive a world rally blue STI w/ gold BBS (fun car), The Skyline with that color combo is pretty cool as well. I guess the Bimmer crowd is a bit more reserved, I still would like to see an interlagos blue M/// with a nice set of gold Volks or BBS or even black for that matter. FNI, I actually meant a black car w/ do I dare say it again, gold wheels. The only car I have seen with black wheels I have liked is the canary yellow Z06 vette. I agree black on black is a bit much. The world would be a boring place if it were not for individuality, unfortunately, not every one has good taste. Thanks for the encouragement FNI, you go girl!
