Im glad it finally got all sorted out a huge weight off my shoulders now i can finally start my search on the gtr.
Glad it's all sorted for you :) I like the sound of the search for a GTR :driving: keep us updated please. :)

I'm glad its all over aswell i've been dreaming of a GTR ever since i set my mind to buying one i've got my eye on a few once i get the money back into my bank ill start looking. I will post pics up when i finally get my hands on one and hopefully in a few weeks.

This could be the best possible outcome for you - effectively you have sold a car with dubious history without incurring the consequent financial cost or being burdened by the knowledge that the new owner has a car that could be a potential problem in the future. I hope you got more or less what you paid for it since you protested about the problem early in your ownership of the car?

I was on my mind non stop im glad its finally over, well i paid 18k with 13300miles on the clock ive done about 1050miles since owning the car and i told him i want 16.5k which i think is fair.

Not too bad in the current market and a quick resolution. Shame you didn't get more use from it though.

I wonder why the original owner didn't get it done? Why spend so much on a car and not look after it.

Anyway, I think that's a good price. Just look on used approved what they are going for, there is a flimper spec 07 with 28k for 16,995....that should say what you are asking for is fair, especially after what you have been through with it.

Ok guys i finally returned the car to the dealer and got my money thank f*ck for that what a nightmare. He will be putting this up for sale and i thought i would paint the full picture for anyone interested in the car. The 1st owner purchased this car from doncaster and is a very nice chap as i spoke to him on the phone and he was the guy who finally helped me resolve this mess. He sold the car with only 1000miles on the clock well said he sold but the chap that bought it from him actually screwed him over and he didn't get a penny for the car. Here is where the fun begins this crook the 2nd owner who is actually now in prison for fraud buying and selling cars with finance on them also false mortgages and so on did not get the service carried out. I actually found a article online stating he has stolen around £750k by screwing people over. He was on the logbook twice once as his trading name on his company and then as the third owner on his own private name. He then sold it to the 4th owner i think with around 8k on the clock and this was the chap who then sold it to the dealers that i purchased the car from. The 4th owner never replied to my letter at 1st when requesting info on the cars service then i decided to pop a business card through his letter box one day when passing and he gave me a call. He was very shifty about answering questions called me on a private number also. When i questioned him about the service he then said " im not saying it was done or it wasn't done" to which i thought what the f*ck are you talking about. After much longer discussion he tells me the dealer should of checked its his problem and also he doesn't want to get involved or be a witness. Also then proceeds to tell me the car was involved in fraud but didn't say for what, im guessing something to do with the last owner he also told me he cleared his name after a year with the police on his case. I tried finding out some info as a friend of mine works in C.I.D but nothing so god knows what happened. So either the 2nd-3rd owner who is the same person had the fake stamp put in the book or the 4th owner had the stamp done im not sure who did but the 4th owner definetly knew it was fake. As when the dealer i purchased the car from had the 1200 mile service stamped in the book and the only reason we found out the stamp was fake is when the book was lost during the sale and a new one was ordered and came back with 1200mile stamp missing with no record. Now breath if anyone is interested in buying the car when it comes up for sale and wants to have a chat please send me a pm and id be happy to help and just to mention the car worked faultlessly never had any issues in the time i owned it.

you could say that again the dealer reckons he can sell again no problem well good luck to him lets see how much it comes up for sale for.

Oh course he will...He'll sell it in full knowledge of the lack of running in service - either to someone ignorant of the need for it or by "arranging" for the book to be stamped up (likely by doing both).

well he sent me a signed letter acknowledging the service was not carried out and accepting to buy back the car so lets see what he does.

Wow, one hell of a saga. I wonder what the circumstances were that led to the first owner releasing the car to the fraudster without cleared funds?

here is the article about the the 2nd owner http://www.thefreelibrary.com/HIGH+LIFE+OF+CROOKED+CAR+SALESMAN%3B+He+swindled+thousands+by+flogging...-a0140388990

What a skally bast*rd

Unfortunately some poor unsuspecting person will buy this ///M, as it's gorgeous and low miles, can't see the dealer who bought the car giving full disclosure on it, although he should shouldn't he?

Reading the article I'm a little confused, he was behind bars on the first of January 2006... And his scams took place in 2003-4. So how could your car have been one of the scammed ones?
