Interlagos Blue Z4m

Me? Not yet, I had to put off collection of the car due to weather so have no documentation with prior owner details etc. Sytner won't hand them out as they'll have data protection issues.

... on the other hand, £2.50 to DVLA will get you all you need to know.

Just say you are a clamper :)

Missed its running in service and then the last service completed 7 months late and its up for top money. Confused!!

The one Stuart bought isn't much better on the service front and that was from a main dealer.

Ive seen cars for double the mileage for around the 17 grand mark so with asking fellow members and a bit of research i thought 16.5k with half the mileage is not bad obviously there is room to negotiate.

I paid 17 for mine... 2006, 28k, same spec bar wheels and was a used approved.... In case you need a comparison.

Thats not a bad price mines a 2007 half the mileage with a new set of tyres which cost 1k alone, plus will come with a years tax but i am open to sensible offers

Is there no way of checking on BMWs database to see what services they carried out? Surely the running in service would be done at a dealer at least. Maybe a quick call?

Ive spent hours on the phone tried bmw uk nothing got the number of 40 bmw dealers in and around the area it was purchased from nothing ,ive just recently got the details of the first owner and have sent him a letter requesting his help hopefully he replies and sheds some light.

The car is now off the market guys i finally got into contact with the 1st owner who confirmed the car did not have the 1200 mile service carried out and the dealer i purchased it the car from has agreed to buy back the car.

Sorry to hear that and the trouble you've had tooing and froing :(

We better keep our eyes peeled for this one as the dealer will no doubt move it on to a someone who isn't as clued up and as good at detective work as you.

well i was stupid enough not to do my research enough and ended up in this mess but lesson learned from now on before i even go to view a car i will check with main dealer to confirm service.

Good result Erol, although disappointing that the first owner never had it carried out, most strange.

Still a cracking car though despite this blip, and the dealer will be selling it for more than you, that's for sure.

Not stupid at all erol, I didn't know how important the RIS is when I got mine, it was only after joining the forum that I found out, don't beat yourself up
