interior wrap west midlands

Hi guys, I am looking to have a few parts of the z4 wrapped – dash panel, door handles and gear surround in gloss black. Has anyone ever had this done at all?

Does anyone know if the parts mentioned above can be just unclipped or does it require allot more work?

Reason I am asking is because for the above bits I was quoted £160 which I think it allot, especially if the parts do just unclip I would purchase some 3m wrap myself and practise a few times until I get it right and save myself some cash.

Cheers
James

Sounds like rip off, just get 3m vinyl and do it your self, it's very easy to do and doesn't required super powers.

If you drop ranski a note or have a look at his posts he has had some parts dipped
and if i remember right was happy with the result, other than that have a go your self
like you said but i have found with the roof down and the sun as hot as it has been
some of the stress corners have started to come unstuck :(

everything unclips apart from the center console trim, that you have to dismantle half the interior to get out

Is it just a case of prising it off to remove dashboard ali trim?

no, remove the passenger airvent, just inside to the right theres a retaining clip which you pull upwards to remove...the rest also have clips on but you should be able to just pull the panel off... AFTER you've taken the center vents out and the radio then removed the 4 screws holding the panel to the dash

the light switch panel will just pull off.

center console trim is screwed on in numerous locations and if you the sport button then that will need to be unclipped then pushed out from behind also.

big job.. ^_^ to do the center console you have to remove the panel on the top of the center storage box, there will be allen key screws that you then remove, after that theres a screw inside the storage box at the base of it..you may need to remove the door to access it..I can't remember

after that there are 6 screws that run along the center console base, 2 are covered by the leather knee rests, these are also held in with clips so you can remove them using a flat and strong plastic object.

door handle covers just pull out from the bottom of the handle then push down I believe...or they just push down..again partially forgot.

Thank for you for info guys it's appreciated, going to give this ago now. To update it was not £120 either, it's going to be more like £160 and need the car for a day :x

No way i'm paying that!!
