Interior Trim Mod - Carbon Fiber

Here's a teaser shot off one of the pieces :D Just gave them their final coat of epoxy earlier today. Couple more steps to go and then they will get coated with 2K clear lacquer. Hopefully will be finished for next week.

So after countless hours I managed to finished the trims and yesterday evening I picked them up from my paint shop who put on some 2K clear lacquer:

As you can probably see most of the pieces are looking pretty good! However I did run into an issue with the centre console piece. As you can see from the photo below there seems to be an issue within the resin that is showing through in the lacquer (although it wasn't so noticeable prior to being lacquered).

I am thinking to sand it back and maybe bit more epoxy and lacquering it again in attempt to rectify it or I could leave it as is and price it lower. In certain light / angle it isn't so noticeable.

Here's a couple more shots of the centre console, you can see how it will look with the ashtray cover in place and also how the weave aligns with both pieces.

I for one am extremely impressed sir

Re the bit you’re unhappy with, would the time and effort be worthwhile for you, if so yes give it a go.

It probably wouldn't bother me too much if it was for my own car but since I am looking to sell these it depends on whoever is interested, if they don't mind it I can reduce the price somewhat or if they prefer perfection then I can redo it.

Hi Pooltee how about 470 GBP as they are. The price includes 200 GBP refundable deposit if you return your old trims to me, so the actual cost will be 270 GBP for the 4 trim pieces. Or 530 GBP if you want me to redo the centre console, again that includes a refundable deposit of 200 GBP.

Shipping costs will need to be added on top. I will need to find out the exact shipping costs from my courier this week but I suspect it will be around 20 GBP (from Spain to UK). I will ask them how much they will charge for shipping your pieces to me (I suspect it would be something similar) or you can use parcel2go to send them to me.

If you are interested PM me your email address and I can send you many more photos in hi res.

Working on another set which will soon be available. Thinking to finish this set in matt lacquer this time.
