Interior Trim choices?

Thanks to Usel & Enuffzed I now have new seats/ cards & steering wheel

Which brings me to the trim. Completely undecided on options other than..........

No Piano, no wood and maybe no to CF.

AS a starter what about having them sprayed pearl grey to match with the small angled piece at the bottom in Estoril Blue? Thoughts?

Any other suggestions as I want to get it right first time

My previous Z4 had Cirrus Aluminium which I really liked.

But CF would match your steering wheel trims.

I know I did the seats and door cards but in that photo they look amazing!

Oem parts you could either carbon leather (hens teeth) or cirrus as mentioned above.

Congratulations the seats and door cards look brilliant. No getting in the car with jeans or mucky trousers though. In terms of colour for your trim. It is down to personal taste. I had mine dipped by a local guy to give the carbon fibre look. You can have it in different shades and colours too. Being a bit conservative in my tastes I just went for the standard grey look. Probably wise in a two seater convertible.
After all you're not Elton John!

How about white piano? Never seen that in a zed.

Love the look of your new seats!

I recently bought an E86 and the aluminium trim inside was a bit scratched up so I wanted to change it somehow. I knew I didn't want carbon fibre as so many people have that now. I decided to wrap it in 3M black brushed metal wrap and I am really pleased with the results, it look super subtle and very OEM.

I got the inspiration from this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsVdjNWzsN4

I don't have a pictire of mine yet as it is not fully completed but here is a creen cap from the video showing the interior to give an idea.

I'll get some pictures of mine when I have finished it. I left the centre trim until last as it needs the most trim removing to get to it. The video I linked above gives a good view of the results....

I’d leave it as is and let the balance of the new seats and door cards sing a little. If you start messing with colouring the trim it will really detract and look less factory and too aftermarket IMO.
Anyway, you’ll have enough to worry about once you’ve driven the car with those new seats wearing jeans for a few months :poke:

That looks stunning, arguably looks more OE than the original

Yeah I am very pleased with it. It honestly seems like 3M modeled the wrap on the Z4 trim, it is so similar. It's fantastic in the flesh as it is so close to the OEM look.

I do like the Aluminium trim, but having two Z4's both with aluminium, I am gald I changed it as i much prefer the more suble all black look in the Coupe.

Good luck any way Jock156, hope you find what you are looking for.

Cheers Simon

I’m happy with the way it looks I was just open to suggestions like yours. Thanks.

Cheers Inkey it looks like your winning by the nod!
