Interior starting to come together

I haven't posted anything of any great value for a while as the modifications start to wind down. I'm not far off done, but of the little work I have been doing of late I think the interior is getting there now.

A small list of the adjustments made so far are:

- Re-trimmed the M Sport steering wheel and had the spokes done in silver by member Dietcokeman
- Changed to silver dials with Alpina red pointers
- Re-sprayed the center console and dash trim in gunmetal metallic
- White El Wire around the center console trim (yet to hook up to the ignition)
- Radio, air vents, window switches and hand brake recess all covered in real carbon fiber
- Navy blue door cards and gaiters (To be replaced again with black suede as the navy now clashes with the new colour scheme)
- A few polished silver accents added
- Storm Motorwerks V1 gear knob and hand brake
- Tailored leather floor mats
- Sports pedals
- Android mirror

A couple of small things yet to do but I think it's coming on well.

That’s tidy, what’s with the leather floor mats? Is it just the edging strip that’s leather?

Love the carbon fibre bits and the dash inserts, but the shiny crap needs to go :poke: that's the only thing letting it down, in my opinion. It just looks cheap and nasty.

Android mirror looks interesting. How does that work?

Also, where did you get your radio knob from? My knob is a bit worse for wear so could do with replacing with a fancier one

The floor mats are full leather. I took a chance on Aliexpress and they turned out to be pretty decent. They haven't quite got the hang of RHD so the drivers side took some messing about with but it got there in the end.

The android mirror is basically a smart phone in a mirror really. It has GPS, rear view camera, dash cam, phone, internet and probably some other stuff I've forgotten to mention. Only annoying thing is that it has a welcome screen when you start the ignition so you kind of have to wait for it to go off and back to a normal mirror. With the screen off it's just the same as any other mirror.

The radio knob was probably off ebay but I honestly can't remember it was that long ago.

Which shiny bits are you not a fan of? I'm not so sure about the stuff on the doors but I think the dash and center console work.

Cool so I've taken on board some of the comments and dialed back on the shiny stuff and agree it looks much better without. There's still a bit of shine mind you.

I've also re-covered the gear and hand brake gaiters in black suede, which was a real pig to do, but worth it I reckon.

Looks much better

Only shiny bits i disagree on are the centre vent surround, heater control surrounds and the ashtray surround part.

Did you spray paint the dash and centre console yourself? Looks great!

Yeah I sprayed it with Rustoleum Gunmetal, it came out surprisingly well. Really good paint to work with.
