Interior spraying....Anyone tried?

Hi all,

Thinking about spraying my ash tray module console and button section in Matt black to match the rest of my plastics (this unit is a ridiculous price new)

Has anyone tried this with success? Any got pics? What spray did you use?

Terry :)

I bought a 2nd hand black one on eBay for the same money I sold my left over grey one

Have a look on eBay as there is a facelift z4 breaking parts - It should have black plastic interior

I've asked a few breakers on eBay they want £89 for the ash tray module with no buttons, for that price I'd rather by new for £109 :(

Ive made a 3 dial pod out my ashtray and painted it matt black, it matches perfect

i have done a few bits in mine,i bought mfsw off ranski and painted the spokes matt black cause they were slightly marked ,i also did the sat nav monitor due to the bastard cat scratching it.
They have come out really well ,i gave them a very light rub with wet and dry paper about a £6 B&Q then gave them a coat off primer spray £7 halfords own ,then i used matt black spray
£7 halfords own.and after a few coats i put a couple off coats of matt lacquer £7 just to make the paint work more resilient to scratching.
i think you will like the results and cheap enough to do and could save you a fortune
