Interior silver door handle

The interior door pull banana shaped thing is scratched on my drivers side. Is a chromey silver finish. Looking on real oem I have found the part number 51418040696 listed for my car but when I've seen this on ebay at £29 the image just looks plain silver.

Can anybody confirm this is the correct part please?

Yeah, your right, a 2.5si I owned in the past had ain silver metallic.
Looking on RealOem for my z4m it lists the interior handle trim as PERLGLANZCHROM but yeah, put that part number into Ebay and the ones listed under that number look just silver :roll:
 
51418040696 is the RHS pearlglanzchrom/chromeline door pull trim (51418040695 for LHS)

51417042878 is the RHS silber/silver door pull trim (51417042877 for LHS)

Unfortunately photos do not usually show a lot of difference between them - other than the sliver appearing darker in most pictures.

Maybe just buy a left & right in a single colour - at least that way they will match - although I believe the Z4M only came with the chromeline version (or that's what the parts catalog suggests, as anything with leather got chromeline, and no Z4M came without leather).

Cheers mate, yeah I think you're right, that must be german for chrome look. I'll take a gamble and order one, mines got a small bit of damage which is really sharp,,everytime I shut the door I'm like ouch, must sort that sooner than later.
 
So this happened to me today 😀 ordered two handles based on the photos and they arrived, they’re a cheap looking grey. The part numbers on mine are identical to what I ordered but mine have ‘PAINT’ written on them. The chrome ones might be out of production apparently....waiting on BMW to confirm. Used ones are no good as they’re scratched too....might have to paint them!

is that from an M or a non-M?

If it’s non-M, then those numbers are correct for the silver version...not the chrome line version.

Why are both part numbers the same? Two lefts?
My picture is a RHS. 3.0Si.
 
Sorry one is the original and the other is a replacement I bought due to the original having a light scratch or two

To be of any use it'll have to be taken at the same time, under the same lighting conditions.
