Interior Pillar Behind Seats

I never really paid attention to the rear pillars behind the seats. And just noticed today after I picked up my car from the shop getting the M Sport Retrofit kit installed. Is it me or does it look really unfinished?

Or did the shop forget to put back some parts on my car?
