Interior mirror

Just curious if anyone has had this happen - While driving home, I noticed an oval shape forming in the mirror, about 1"x3". Then I saw little bubbles (like moisture) coming up from the bottom. Within about 30 minutes the whole mirror is now much darker. I can still see out of it OK. (The answer in NO, I haven't been to a pub in several days) A week later, still the same. I checked on the prices. :cry: Any ideas?
 
Not sure on prices, but a friend had this on his old 3 series - note that liquid is corrosive and will damage your interior

Would a 3 series mirror be the same as the z4? If so I would hit eBay or a scrap yard as they would be more common

3 series is different shape, but shouldn't be hard to find one for a Z4 at a breakers as there can't be much call for them.
