interior light stuck on

hi

two days ago i fitted aes the other day and wired the aes to the interior lights and sidelight circut, tested it to make sure the circuts wernt linked and feeding each other and they were fine.

went to go to work at 4.30 this morning and when i SYARTED the car the interior lights came on with the lights when ign on....lol
had to drive to work with my also newly fitted interior lights on,ill need a cap or diode in the footwell on tap to interior lights but not sure of value, anyone know ????

What is 'aes'?

What have you wired into the circuit? I have wired 6 LED's including powerful puddle lights into the interior lighting system tapped in at the footwell light and need no diode to control anything.

i connected my angel eyes to the side lights as normal but also spliced in a feed from the footwell lights so the A\Es light up on remote open/close.the two circuts are now mutual so i need a cap or diode to block the return path of current to one of the circuts.

just not sure of component spec

OK - understand now. Just need one large enough for the current draw of the AE's.

Why didn't you run the AE's off an ignition feed so they come on as DRL's and then use a circuit to dim or shut them off on turning on side or dipped lights?

You can even get special relay kits to do it all inc. dim on indicate, flash on open, etc.

I could only make mine switch on and off based upon sidelight as they are ccfl tubes so not designed to flash or dim.
