Interior Door handle screws

Hi all,

Issue that hasn't really bothered me until I was a passenger in my own car today and didn't realize how bad it is, the door grab handle is missing the lower bigger torx screw under the trim piece. (Arrowed on a random pic i found on google)

Does anyone know the actual size of this screw so I can pop in to B&Q or something and pick one up.

cheers.

I'd go to BMW as it's a special torx headed bolt with non threaded tip to locate it. From memory the lower part of the handle also has a second thinner securing torx bolt.

The one i pulled from the upper part just looked like a standard screw, didn't notice any difference to thread or width difference, i'll have to pull it out again and have another look.

According to the site Biojo posted, 3,5X10 is the size?

As you can see in the photo posted above you need 2 fixings at the bottom.
I'm sure any old bolt, torx, socket screw of 3,5x10 will do as the main fixing, but still need the thinner one which prevents the handle twisting if gripped

The thinner is there, but unfortunately, the thread inside the door are worn so the thinner screw doesn't grip onto anything.

So relying on the bigger torx which i'll have a gander about in B&Q for.
