Interior and boot lights

Hi, I have noticed that the previous owner has fitted lights similar to these (see pic)
They seems to flicker on and off most of the times, any of you guys had similar problems with these?
Any solutions will be most appreciated.

Best solution is some LED 5050 tape wired into the fitting.

Dont even think of it! Its becoming the most expensive Country in the world to visit and live.
I visit it every year, was born there, still have family there. Last year I went to Singapore then caught a train to Malaysia and Thailand. Went to Indonesia to an Island not far from Singapore, my brother owns a lot of properties there. When i came back to Singapore the night before I was to fly back to England my brother found me unconcious in my hotel room. In hospital for 3 weeks with E.coli Meningiitis and severely in fected Liver....ended up having Cirrhosis. Cost me £30000 for the hospital stay for 3 weeks, they wanted to keep me for 2 months but could not afford it.I thought I had travel insurance but it had expired. Very expensive in Singapore!!
